Thank You Fire and First Responder Department Members!

TOWN OF OSHKOSH – Local farmer Phil Grundy will give the $2,500 he received from the Monsanto Fund to the town of Oshkosh Volunteer Fire Department for new wireless headsets.
Grundy, who is a Monsanto representative and serves as fire chief for the town, was selected as a winner in America's Farmers Grow Communities, which gives farmers the chance to win cash for their favorite nonprofit organizations.
America's Farmers Grow Communities is part of a broad commitment by the Monsanto Fund to highlight the contributions farmers make to improve local communities. The program is designed to benefit nonprofits such as youth agriculture organizations, schools and other civic groups.
The wireless headsets will help firefighters communicate with one another inside fire trucks over the noise of sirens as they travel to fire and accident scenes, Grundy said.
